π» Your Gig Harbor Halloween Guide: Waterfront Trick or Treat, a Monster Mash, and 13 Haunted Houses
From the free waterfront trick or treat on October 31 to self-guided haunted house routes, here's how to do Halloween in the harbor.

Gig Harbor goes all in on Halloween, and this year's lineup runs right up to the big night. Here's what's happening around the harbor between now and October 31.

The main event is Trick or Treat in the Harbor on Saturday, October 31, from 3 to 6 PM. The Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance closes Harborview Drive from Pioneer Way to Rosedale Street so kids can trick or treat along the waterfront shops, and it is free.
The night before, PenMet Parks hosts a free Monster Mash Bash on Friday, October 30, from 6 to 8 PM inside the PenMet Parks Recreation Center, with treats for sale. Also on Friday, according to Gig Harbor Now, Uptown Gig Harbor has trick or treating from 4 to 6 PM and giant pumpkin carving from 11 AM to 4:30 PM.
For something you can do any night, the Haunt Your House contest has 13 decorated homes on two self-guided driving routes, each about 30 to 45 minutes, best seen from dusk to 9:30 PM. Voting is open through November 1. And this Saturday, October 24, Gig Harbor Now lists All Hallows Eve at Gateway Park from noon to 4 PM and the Witches Brew paddle from the Gig Harbor boat launch at 2 PM.
Details:
Waterfront trick or treat: Saturday, October 31, 3 to 6 PM, Harborview Drive, free
Monster Mash Bash: Friday, October 30, 6 to 8 PM, PenMet Parks Recreation Center, 2524 14th Ave NW, free
Haunt Your House: 13 homes, two driving routes, voting through November 1 at gigharborcontests.com
This Saturday: All Hallows Eve at Gateway Park and the Witches Brew paddle (per Gig Harbor Now)
Real estate note: small-town traditions like a waterfront trick or treat are a big part of Gig Harbor's appeal. Walkable downtown streets, a working harbor, and a calendar full of community events keep it one of the most sought-after places to live on the peninsula.
