πŸŽ„ Your 2026 Olympia-Area Holiday Market Guide, Starting November 6

From the Thurston County Fairgrounds to downtown's WinterFest, here's when and where to shop local this season.

Holiday market season around Olympia starts next week, and there are almost 20 to choose from. Here's the plan, weekend by weekend, based on ThurstonTalk's 2026 roundup.

The first weekend is November 6 to 8. It opens Friday, November 6, with Homemade for the Holidays at the Thurston County Fairgrounds in Lacey, free, from noon to 6 PM Friday and 9 AM to 4 PM Saturday. Saturday also brings the Faith Lutheran winter craft fair in Lacey, and the Schirm Loop Lavender Farm Holiday Bazaar runs Saturday and Sunday at Prosperity Grange.

November 13 to 15 is the busiest stretch. The Girlfriends Holiday Market returns to the fairgrounds Friday afternoon and Saturday, and Saturday the 14th adds the South Bay Holiday Market at South Bay Grange, the Fall Into Christmas Bazaar in Tumwater, a Winter Wonderland Bazaar at the Salvation Army, and a student makers market at Lincoln Elementary. Arts Olympia's Holiday Gift Gallery also opens that Friday and runs Fridays and Saturdays through December 19.

The weekend before Thanksgiving brings the VFW Post 318 market, the Swede Hall bazaar in Rochester, the Peace on Earth bazaar downtown, Olympia High School's Bearzaar, and an artisan market at the Marie Bed & Breakfast. Thanksgiving weekend has the Tenino Holiday Market, and on Sunday, November 29, LoveOly WinterFest takes over downtown, the same day as the Jinglebell Parade and the tree lighting at Sylvester Park.

Details:

  • First market: Homemade for the Holidays, Friday, November 6, noon to 6 PM, Thurston County Fairgrounds, 3054 Carpenter Rd SE, Lacey, free

  • Busiest day: Saturday, November 14, with at least five markets across Olympia, Lacey, and Tumwater

  • Downtown: LoveOly WinterFest, Sunday, November 29, 10 AM to 4 PM, 5th Ave and Washington St

  • Last call: Native Holiday Market, December 11 and 12, Evergreen's House of Welcome Longhouse

  • Many markets post updates on Facebook only, so check with each organizer before you go

Real estate note: a calendar packed with grange halls, church bazaars, and a downtown WinterFest is small-town Thurston County at its best. That sense of community is a big part of why people choose Olympia, Lacey, and Tumwater over bigger cities up north.
