🧸 Toys "R" Us Is Coming Back to the South Sound at Puyallup's South Hill Mall

If you grew up running the aisles at Toys "R" Us, this one is for you. The brand is opening a new store at South Hill Mall in Puyallup this October, just in time for holiday shopping.

The store will sit in the mall's Target Concourse, close to the food court, and it will cover more than 5,000 square feet. Go! Retail Group is running it, with a lineup of the brands kids actually ask for: Lego, Barbie, Hot Wheels, NERF, and PAW Patrol.

This is not a two-month holiday pop-up. A South Hill Mall spokesperson told MyNorthwest the lease runs at least a year, with an option to stay longer, and Go! Retail Group says the Washington stores should be open through the holidays and possibly into 2027.

Puyallup is part of a bigger comeback. Toys "R" Us closed its stores nationwide in 2018, and about 120 new standalone stores are opening across the country this holiday season. In Washington, the other two are at The Outlet Collection Seattle in Auburn and at Vancouver Mall.

Real estate note: South Hill keeps adding reasons to stay close to home. Between the mall's new tenants, the shopping along Meridian, and quick access to Highway 512, it remains one of the most convenient places in Pierce County for families who want everything within a short drive.
