🎡 The Washington State Fair Returns to Puyallup September 4-27

The biggest event on the South Sound calendar is almost here. The Washington State Fair returns to Puyallup for its main run September 4 through 27, 2026, at the Washington State Fair Events Center. (Note it’s closed on Tuesdays and on September 9.)

If you grew up here, you already know the drill: scones, rides, rodeo, headliner concerts, agriculture and livestock barns, arts and crafts, and fair food in every direction. It’s a Pacific Northwest rite of passage, and one of the largest fairs in the country.

This year brings a few new attractions to the mix, including an America’s 250 celebration tied to the country’s semiquincentennial, a new Dog Stunt Show, an expanded “Our Food, Our Farms, Our Washington” showcase, and more free entertainment across the grounds.

It also pays to plan around the deals. The fair is offering free youth admission September 4 to 7, Military Appreciation Fridays, an opening-day food-drive promotion, and a September 11 school-supply drive.

Regular admission is $15 for adults (13 to 64), $13 for seniors 65 and up and kids 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under.
