Adds a brand-new educational destination to downtown Tacoma
By combining a national museum’s platform with local education infrastructure, this collaboration stands to become a model for innovation partnerships across the region.
đź’¬ Why It Matters
At a time when school districts are looking to engage students in real-world learning, this project:
Connects students to hands-on, interest-driven experiences
Uses existing cultural institutions to boost access and equity
Brings attention to careers that don’t always start in lecture halls
And for downtown Tacoma, it adds momentum to the city’s efforts to build an innovation economy from the ground up, starting with kids.
