🍗 Raising Cane’s Plans Its First Pierce County Location in Lakewood

New location at 10025 Lakewood Drive SW

Fans of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, get ready — it looks like Pierce County might finally be joining the club.

The popular fast-casual chain has officially filed plans to open a brand-new location at 10025 Lakewood Drive SW, near Bridgeport Way in Lakewood.

🏗️ What’s in the Plans

According to the city’s filings, the project calls for:

  • A new standalone restaurant building

  • Double drive-thru lanes designed for high-volume service

  • An outdoor patio area

  • And plenty of on-site parking to handle busy lunch and dinner crowds

The site plan suggests a modern build consistent with Raising Cane’s latest design — sleek lines, bold red signage, and a focus on quick, efficient service.

đź“… Where Things Stand

It’s still early in the process. Before construction can move forward, the City of Lakewood will hold a public hearing on November 21 to review the proposal.

If approved, this would mark Pierce County’s first Raising Cane’s, joining a growing list of Washington locations in Vancouver and Spokane. The brand has been expanding aggressively across the Pacific Northwest over the last few years, tapping into a loyal following that swears by its crispy chicken fingers, signature Cane’s Sauce, and thick-cut Texas toast.

🍟 Why It’s a Big Deal

Raising Cane’s has become a bit of a phenomenon among chicken fans, known for its simple but perfected menu:

  • Chicken fingers

  • Crinkle-cut fries

  • Texas toast

  • Coleslaw

  • And, of course, the famous Cane’s Sauce

The chain’s cult following has driven long lines and viral hype at nearly every new opening — and it’s safe to say Lakewood will be no exception once construction gets underway.
