🥪 New Sandwich Shop in Lakewood With Familiar Roots
From MSM Deli to Mosa

If you’re in Lakewood and love a good sandwich, there’s a new spot in town with a story that ties back to one of Tacoma’s most beloved delis.

Mosa Sandwich Makers just opened on South Tacoma Way, and it’s already drawing attention for its hearty subs and family-run energy.
From MSM Deli to Mosa

Owner Hashed Mousa knows his way around a sandwich. He spent more than 20 years working at Tacoma’s legendary MSM Deli, a place that’s built a cult following for its overstuffed, no-frills subs.
Now, he’s branching out with his own shop, this time bringing his two sons into the business. Together, they’ve launched Mosa Sandwich Makers — and they’re keeping that same commitment to big flavors and bigger portions.

Mosa’s sandwiches lean into the “deluxe sub” style, layered with meats, cheeses, fresh toppings, and house touches that make each bite memorable. While the menu pays homage to the style Hashed perfected at MSM, it’s got its own spin too, reflecting the family’s personal touch and Lakewood’s diverse food culture.
Why It Matters
For longtime MSM Deli fans, this opening feels like a continuation of a tradition. For Lakewood locals, it’s a brand-new option for lunch, dinner, or that go-to sandwich craving.
And at a time when many family-owned restaurants are closing their doors, Mosa stands out as a next-generation business, blending decades of experience with new energy.
