☕ New Café in Puyallup Serves Stuffed Conchas & Gansito Lattes

From food truck favorite to brand new Café

From food truck favorite to brick-and-mortar treat

If you’ve been craving something sweet, unique, and made with love — there’s a new spot in Puyallup that might just become your go-to.

Yonilda Morales, co-owner of the popular Chicanos food truck, has opened a Mexican-inspired café just steps from Puyallup City Hall. Tucked behind the Shell station, it’s a small but inviting space filled with the smell of fresh pastries and rich espresso.

The star of the show? Stuffed conchas — soft, pillowy Mexican sweet bread filled with decadent cream or seasonal flavors. Pair one with a Gansito latte (inspired by the beloved chocolate-covered strawberry snack cake) for a sweet-meets-caffeinated combo you won’t forget.

The menu also includes:

  • Croissant breakfast sandwiches

  • Organic teas and coffee drinks

  • Rotating pastries with a Mexican twist

🌟 From Truck to Café

Interestingly, this café wasn’t part of a grand business plan. Morales says it came together almost by accident after years running the food truck — but when the opportunity presented itself, she took the leap.

For longtime fans of Chicanos, it’s another way to enjoy her creations — now without chasing down the truck schedule.

📍 Location & Hours

The café is located behind the Shell station near City Hall in Puyallup, making it an easy stop for a morning treat or an afternoon pick-me-up. Hours are expected to mirror typical coffee shop times, though it’s worth checking social media for updates as they settle in.
