š Missed the REAL ID Deadline?
Hereās What You Need to Know in Washington

If youāve been putting off updating your driverās license, hereās an important reminder: the REAL ID deadline has already passed.

As of May 7, 2025, federal law requires that you have a REAL ID-compliant driverās license, enhanced license, or passport to board domestic flights or access certain federal facilities.
āļø What This Means for You
If your Washington State license isnāt marked āEnhancedā or āREAL ID-compliant,ā youāll need to bring a valid passport when flying within the U.S. ā or upgrade your license to meet federal standards.
ā³ Avoid the Rush
Appointments at licensing offices tend to fill up quickly, so if youāve missed the initial deadline, itās best to schedule now rather than wait until your next trip sneaks up on you.
We all know someone who forgets about these deadlines until the airport check-in line. Share this as a nudge ā it could save a lot of stress (and missed flights).
š Quick Reminder:
Deadline was May 7, 2025
Needed for domestic air travel
Options: Enhanced driverās license, REAL ID-compliant license, or passport
