π Lil Woody's Is Bringing Its Famous Burgers to TacomaThe Seattle Cult Favorite Is Taking Over the Old Harvester Space in the Stadium District

Tacoma's Stadium District is about to get a serious burger upgrade.
Lil Woody's Burgers & Shakes, the Seattle-born burger shop once crowned the best burger in Washington by Reader's Digest, is opening its first Tacoma location at 29 N Tacoma Ave.
π A Long-Empty Corner Gets a Second Act
The new Lil Woody's is going into the former home of The Harvester restaurant, a Stadium District mainstay that closed in 2023 after 93 years in business. The building has been mostly vacant since, so this is a beloved old corner finally getting filled again, with a name people will actually drive for.
π What's on the Menu
Lil Woody's built its reputation on quarter-pound, grass-fed beef burgers with creative names and Northwest ingredients. Expect:
Signature burgers like The Fig and The Pig, The New Mexican, and The Trotter
Veggie, salmon, and chicken alternatives
Shake fries and hand-spun milkshakes
It's the kind of unfussy, high-quality burger-and-shake combo that turned a single Capitol Hill shop into a regional favorite.

π¨βπ³ The Story Behind It
Lil Woody's was founded over a decade ago on Capitol Hill by Seattle restaurateur Marcus Lalario, whose hospitality portfolio also includes Darkalino's, Mezzanotte, Ciudad, and Fat's Chicken and Waffles. The burger brand has since grown to locations in Ballard, Capitol Hill, White Center, Green Lake, Sea-Tac Airport, and Tokyo.
The Stadium District spot will be its first in Tacoma.
π Why It Matters
For years, the knock on the South Sound food scene was that you had to drive to Seattle for the buzzy names. That's been changing fast, and Lil Woody's is the latest example of a Seattle favorite betting on Tacoma. Planting it in the Stadium District, steps from the Tacoma Dome corridor, Stadium High, and a dense walkable neighborhood, is a smart read on where the city's energy is.
