π Lacey's Free Chamber Holiday Market Is This Saturday, November 7
Local artisans, photos with Santa and Buddy the Elf, and a baking contest with KitchenAid mixers on the line at North Thurston High School.

Holiday shopping starts early in Lacey this year. The Lacey South Sound Chamber Holiday Market takes over the North Thurston High School Commons on Saturday, November 7, from 10 AM to 4 PM, with free admission and free parking.

Expect crafts from local artisans, tastings, and music, all indoors. The chamber's announcement lists booths with baked goods, housewares, holiday decor, beauty products, and clothing and accessories, plus food, pie samples, and hot chocolate.
Bring the whole family. There's a free family photo with Santa and Buddy the Elf, and the Jingle & Mingle Passport lets you collect stamps as you shop for a raffle entry. The grand prize is a Christmas tree.
Bakers, this one is for you. The Sugar & Snow Baking Contest has a youth division for ages 5 to 17 and an adult division for 18 and up, with a KitchenAid stand mixer for each winner. Entries are capped at 20 per division, first come, first served, so apply through the chamber's website.

Real estate note: community events like this are a big part of Lacey's small-town feel. A chamber market in the local high school commons is the kind of tradition that makes Lacey neighborhoods easy to put down roots in.
