High-Powered Gaming Comes to Lacey
🎮 212 Contender Esports is Here

From Solo Play to Esports Tournaments, This New Gaming Hub Aims to Build Community Through Shared Passions

If you’re a gamer—or even if you’re just looking for a place to hang out and connect with like-minded people—Lacey’s newest hotspot might be just the place. 212 Contender Esports, located at 1350 Galaxy Drive NE near Walmart, is officially open and ready to bring high-powered gaming, tournaments, and tech education to the South Sound.
🎯 What’s 212 Contender Esports All About?
For Mark Cabaltica, opening 212 Contender Esports is more than just a business move—it’s the realization of a lifelong passion for gaming and community building.
A former Air Force service member who retired from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Cabaltica wanted to create a space for people to meet, play, and learn together. Growing up, he watched his parents run a small grocery store and always dreamed of owning a business that brought people together.
Now, he’s doing just that with a 1,500-square-foot gaming center featuring:
💻 17 High-End PCs – Built for high-performance gaming, from casual play to serious competition
🖥️ Classroom Space with 10 Additional PCs – Designed for STEM classes, coding workshops, and robotics training
🎮 Top Games on Deck – Marvel Rivals, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Rocket League, and more
📅 Daily Access Options – Drop-in rates, all-day passes, and monthly memberships
🕹️ What Does It Cost to Play?

212 Contender Esports offers several pricing options to keep gaming accessible:
Drop-In Rate: $10 per hour
All-Day Pass: $30
Monthly Membership: $70/month (includes unlimited play, members-only events, and discounts on tournament fees)
Grand Opening Special: On May 22, new members can grab a 3-month membership for just $99—a deal that includes exclusive perks and member-only access.
🏆 Grand Opening Celebration – May 22
To kick things off, 212 Contender Esports is hosting a grand opening celebration on May 22 at 1 PM.
Here’s what’s happening:

💡 Beyond Gaming: Education & Community Building
For Cabaltica, 212 Contender Esports is also about education and skill-building. The space includes a dedicated classroom area with 10 PCs, where he plans to host workshops in coding, robotics, and event management.
“There’s a place in the world of esports for people who aren’t necessarily gamers,” Cabaltica said. “We want to teach skills like project management, content creation, and running tournaments—skills that can be used in esports or any career.”
