🏨 Governor Hotel Becoming a Hampton Inn

If you’ve walked along Capitol Way in downtown Olympia lately… you may have noticed signs of new construction at a familiar building.

It’s official: the former Governor Hotel is being renovated into a Hampton Inn by Hilton.

What’s Happening:

• Interior demo is already underway

• Renovations will include modern finishes, updated mechanical and electrical systems, and a full refresh of both interior and exterior

• The new Hampton Inn is scheduled to open by fall of 2026

This will be Olympia’s second Hampton Inn, joining the existing location on Martin Way.
