Broadway Tacoma Farmers Market Is Back
Every Thursday From 10am - 2pm

If you work or spend time in downtown Tacoma, a familiar weekly staple has officially returned.

The Broadway Farmers Market is back for the season, running every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., now through late September.
🥕 A Midday Market in the Heart of Downtown
You’ll find the market set up along Broadway between 9th and 11th Street, right in the middle of Tacoma’s downtown core.
Each week, vendors bring a mix of:
Fresh, locally grown produce
Ready-to-eat food options
Handmade goods and small-batch products
It’s designed as a walkable, lunchtime market, giving people working nearby a chance to grab food, shop local, and break up the workday.
🏙️ A Consistent Downtown Activation
Farmers markets like this play a bigger role than just selling produce.
They help:
Activate downtown streets during the day
Support small local vendors and farmers
Bring consistent foot traffic to the area

For Tacoma, the Broadway market has become a recurring piece of the city’s weekly rhythm during the spring and summer months.
⏰ Timing Conversations
There has been some local discussion about the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. schedule, especially for those who work traditional hours and may not be able to attend easily.
At the same time, the midday timing is intentional, aimed at serving:
Downtown office workers
Nearby residents
People already in the area during lunch hours
It creates a consistent window of activity rather than competing with evening events happening elsewhere in the city.
🌱 Why It Matters
As Tacoma continues to grow, events like the Broadway Farmers Market help maintain a connection to:
Local agriculture
Small businesses
Community gathering spaces
Even in a more urbanizing downtown, it’s a reminder of the region’s strong local food network.
